Candidates are forming opinions about employers long before they submit an application.

On November 10, Terra L. Fletcher will lead a national NHRA webinar examining how search, online reputation, employer messaging, and AI are changing that first impression—and what HR professionals can do about it.

The New First Impression

Job seekers are doing more than reading job postings. They’re searching company names, reading reviews, checking social media, visiting websites, and increasingly asking AI tools to help them research potential employers and opportunities.

That means recruitment marketing starts well before someone clicks “Apply.”

During The New First Impression: Recruitment Marketing for an AI-Assisted Job Search, Fletcher will help HR professionals look at their recruitment marketing through a candidate’s eyes.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Understand how AI, search, and online reputation influence candidate decisions before they apply.
  • Identify trust gaps across job postings, employer brand messaging, reviews, social media, and website content.
  • Make their organizations easier for the right candidates to find, understand, trust, and choose.

Participants will also complete a practical recruitment marketing audit and leave with a one-page guide to evaluate and improve their own candidate experience.

The program has been approved for 1 HR (General) recertification credit hour through HRCI and 1.0 Professional Development Credit through SHRM.
