Accept your Butterflies: Public Speaking Skills
Does the idea of speaking in front of people make you nervous? You’re certainly not alone! An
accomplished speaker and author Terra L. Fletcher says, “I still get butterflies when I speak, but I’ve
taught them to fly in formation.”
This workshop will help Leadership Academy attendees present project recommendations to their
department leadership team. But that’s not all. Participants will learn techniques to become
persuasive storytellers and gain confidence in speaking. We’ll utilize three simple steps to present
professionally in any setting. Learn how to command attention, motivate, and engage your audience.
Gain confidence and train your butterflies. Learn with peers by practicing the three steps in a safe
space.
