About the Event
Surveys suggest that seven in ten employers struggle to find workers with the right mix of technical skills and human capabilities. So do you struggle to attract the right talent? In this session, we’ll consider the core strategies of talent attraction: employer branding, recruitment marketing, and organizational culture – everything except compensation and benefits. Next, we’ll discuss how generational differences, economic conditions, and current competition impacts talent acquisition. Finally, we’ll be reminded of the value of younger generations in terms of mission-critical software and technical skills.
Please note: This isn’t the same session we offered in 2019. No, since then, we’re facing a new way of managing and new office expectations. We’re performing more of our work in digital and virtual environments. Potential employees have more negotiation power and choices than ever. Why should they choose you?
We’ll show you how to level the field with your organization’s culture and remind potential employees that their work with your municipality will positively impact other people, especially the local community. In addition, we’ll help you find and attract people with interpersonal skills like leadership, empathy, and adaptability, as well as advanced cognitive skills like critical thinking, project management, and decision-making.
