Objectives
- Participants will learn to write and evaluate textbooks more efficiently
- Class will work hard to identify and correct writing weaknesses and bad habits
- Present material at an appropriate level of detail without excess jargon
- Discover ways to better organize information
- Use consistent formats and standards
This course will cover best practices for business and management writing. Learn how to create clear, concise textbooks in less time. Specific needs to be highlighted include the benefits of being direct and conversational, using an active voice, separating clarifying information, and making publications easier to read. We’ll learn about pre-writing and organization as well as how to best use graphic enhancements (charts and callouts). Following this four-hour courses the NATP will produce textbooks of higher quality, enhancing their reputation and credibility.
